Following his graduation from Boğaziçi University, Department of Business Administration in 1986, he worked as a department manager at Anadolu Kredi Kartları A.Ş. and then in the Treasury Departments of Standard Chartered Bank in Istanbul and Westdeutsche Landesbank in Istanbul and Moscow. Between 1998 and 2002, he worked as Treasury Department Manager at Egebank and "Birleşik Sümerbank" and as a consultant to the SDIF on the transfer of deposits in banks and the resolution of problematic loans. Mr. Ağaoğlu assumed consultancy responsibilities for various institutions on managing their risks in financial markets. He is currently working as CFO Advisor after working as Treasury Group Director at Socar Turkey, which he joined in 2015. Between 2007-2020, he lectured on financial markets at Kültür University, Department of Economics. Between 2009 and 2013 he was the Editor-in-Chief of Fortune Turkey. Ağaoğlu, who commented on financial markets at CBNB-e between 2010-2013 and BloombergHT between 2014-2018, has been a columnist and commentator on developments in financial markets since 2004 at Vatan, Milliyet and Dünya, as well as the newspaper Nasıl Bir Ekonomi. He also broadcasts on YouTube broadcasts and BloombergHT TV. He is married and has a daughter.
Anastasiia Kononenko has over 13 years of experience in steel and raw materials market analyses and price reporting primarily in the markets of SE Asia, China, India and the CIS. She joined SteelOrbis (Turkey) in 2019 to head and manage the market intelligence department, overlooking the price developments in the steel and raw material markets of Asia and the CIS. The global markets of pig iron, billet, slabs and the analysis of the Chinese exports development and potential are among the current key responsibilities. In 2011-2019 worked at Metal Expert (Ukraine) information agency. A graduate to Ukraine’s Dnipro National University, a master’s degree in the journalism and economy.
Kazuo Mike Fujisawa joined NKK Corporation in 1982 and has held management positions in sales, engineering and in an assistant role to CEOs. After NKK merged with Kawasaki Steel to create JFE Steel in 2003, he has held positions in the Corporate Planning Department and Overseas Business Planning Dept. He was on the committees and the Board of Directors of California Steel Industries from 2003 to 2016. He is the member of worldsteel’s Communication Committee and Economic Committee. He has spoken at a number of steel conferences around the world. Currently he is Principal, Global Business Development, JFE Steel Corporation.
Kürşad Aynas has been serving as the Sales Manager for Pipe Profiles and Secondary Manufacturers at Çolakoğlu Metalurji Inc. since 2018. He initiated his career at Borusan Group from 2001 to 2010 and held roles as Sales Manager in Steel Service Center, Energy & Heat and Pipe-Profile departments at Ereğli Iron and Steel Co., affiliated with Oyak Metalurji Group, from 2010 to 2018. A graduate of Zonguldak Karaelmas University with a degree in Mining Engineering, Kürşad Aynas successfully completed his Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) at Istanbul University.
Martin Rajnoha is a Principal at Arthur D. Little, based in Prague, and a member of the Growth and Automotive and Manufacturing (AMG) Practices, focusing primarily on technology and innovation management. Martin has extensive experience in conducting projects for major clients in the steel industry, including comprehensive analysis of market demand, operational planning, and financial assessment. He has led projects involving steel production, capital expenditure validation for industrial transitions, and scenario analyses on carbon and power costs. His expertise extends to evaluating financial performance and identifying strategic levers to unlock additional value in complex market environments.
Mehmet Çakmur, a graduate of METU's Industrial Engineering program, began his professional career in 1990 and has held various positions in the iron and steel industry. Çakmur is also the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Steel Foreign Trade Association (ÇDTD), which he helped to establish, and a Board Member of the Flat Steel Exporters and Industrialists Association (YİSAD). In 2023, he joined Kocaer Steel as a Board Member and was appointed General Manager of Kocaer Steel in September 2024.
Born in 1958, Muammer Bilgic graduated in 1983 from the Metallurgical Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University in Ankara. During his career, he has worked as an engineer and as an executive in various positions at Cukurova Celik, Cebitas, Metas, Kumas, Eregemetal, Sivas Demir Celik, Ferrocom, Cer Celik, Ecosid Ltd and Kocaer Celik. Between 2014-2024 he had been serving as managing director of Bilecik Demir Celik. Since June 2024 he is in charge of member of executive committee of BDC. Muammer Bilgic has published industry analyses and articles in various professional publications on subjects such as steelmaking processes, the relation between refractory and steelmaking processes, and alternative raw materials for electric arc furnaces.
Özgür Özsoy has nearly 25 years of experience in production operations in the industry. Özsoy completed his undergraduate studies at ITU Metallurgical Engineering Department and worked in different iron and steel companies in the sector. Since 2015, he has been working as Operations Director at Çolakoğlu Metalurji. Mr Özsoy is married and has one child.
Paolo Sangoi, born in 1964, is CEO of SANGOI GROUP, a family business founded in 1973 and now in its third generation, active as a flat product service center and as a manufacturer of metal components as well as finished products. During his career he has gained extensive experience in steel trading and in-depth knowledge of the Italian and international steel industry. His company has been an active member of Assofermet since 1977. Paolo Sangoi is currently in his second term as President of Assofermet Acciai, a role he has held since 2021.

Mr. Dalbeler has been the CEO of Çolakoğlu Metalurji A.Ş. for many years. Mr. Dalbeler is also a board member of the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD); Vice Chairman of the Turkish Steel Exporters' Association (CIB) and Board Member of the International Rebar Exporters and Producers Association (IREPAS) as well as Vice President of the World Steel Association for the 2024/25 term.
Mr. Yayan got B.A. degrees from Faculty of Political Sciences of Ankara University in 1977 and Faculty of Law of the Istanbul University in 1987. Then he got his PhD degree from the Istanbul University Faculty of Economics in 1997. Mr. Yayan has diplomas from University of Michigan on Economy of Development and Population; from the University of Sussex on Labor Market Information System and Japan Int. Coop. Agency on Development and improvement of Employment. Mr. Veysel Yayan started his career as Reporter at the Republic of Turkey, Ministry of Trade in 1976. Then he worked at State Planning Organization, as Expert and Undersecretariat of Defense Industries, as Head of Department, Deputy Undersecretary and Acting Undersecretary until he retired in 1998. After serving 22 years for government from expert to Undersecretary levels between 1976-1998, he was appointed as Secretary General to the Turkish Steel Producers Association in 1998. On 25 September 2017, Dr. Yayan was appointed as Undersecretary to Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology. In August 2018, Yayan retired from government and returned to his position as Secretary General of Turkish Steel Producers Association. In addition to this position, Dr. Yayan has been the President of TOBB Ferrous and Nonferrous Metals Assembly since 2007.
