Ahmet Özkan was born in 1976 in Istanbul and graduated from Galatasaray High School in 1994. After graduating from the Department of Business Administration at Bogazici Univeristy, he started his professional career in 1999. He worked at the inspections departments of Arthur Andersen and Ernst&Young, before joining the family business Dempaş Demir Inc. in 2005. He is married with three children.
Can Ediboğlu graduated from the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) with degrees in Systems Engineering and Economics. He also completed the Business Sustainability Management program at the University of Cambridge. He has over 15 years of experience across electricity, natural gas, oil, mining, and finance within the Çolakoğlu Group, one of Türkiye’s leading industrial conglomerates. He began his career as a Planning Engineer at Egegaz LNG and later served as a Business Development Manager within the Group’s electricity companies, where he played an active role in energy investments, electricity and natural gas trading, and privatization processes. For the past two years, he has been serving as the Sustainability Department Manager at Çolakoğlu Metalurji. In this role, he focuses on CBAM compliance processes, renewable energy investments, green transformation in the steel industry, decarbonization, and sustainable growth.
Kürşad Aynas has been serving as the Sales Manager for Pipe Profiles and Secondary Manufacturers at Çolakoğlu Metalurji Inc. since 2018. He initiated his career at Borusan Group from 2001 to 2010 and held roles as Sales Manager in Steel Service Center, Energy & Heat and Pipe-Profile departments at Ereğli Iron and Steel Co., affiliated with Oyak Metalurji Group, from 2010 to 2018. A graduate of Zonguldak Karaelmas University with a degree in Mining Engineering, Kürşad Aynas successfully completed his Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) at Istanbul University.
Priyanka is a seasoned sustainability and research professional with over a decade of experience across steel and end-use sectors. At Wood Mackenzie, she leads the firm’s Steel Market Services, providing strategic market intelligence and thought leadership on global steel markets, long-term demand and supply dynamics, industry transformation and investment trends. She leads the development of long-term steel market outlooks and scenarios, assessing the impact of macroeconomic, policy, technological and decarbonisation trends on the global steel industry. Priyanka has a particular focus on the steel industry’s transition towards a lower-carbon future, including net-zero scenarios, emerging green steel technologies, hydrogen-based ironmaking, EAF and DRI developments. Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, Priyanka worked with Bain & Company and CRISIL, an S&P Global company, where she advised clients across research, strategy and industry analysis. She holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Mumbai.
