Alexander Gordienko was born in Russia. He graduated in economics and management from N. Novgorod University. After his graduation, he worked in banking in Russia and the UK. In 1999, he joined Stemcor. In 2009, he began working at Celsa Group where he currently continues his career as an export director.
Roman has 20 years of experience in strategy, research, M&A and investments. He joined Metinvest Group in 2010. In 2012, he was promoted to the position of the Head of Strategic Analysis. Since 2018, Roman is the Head of Strategy & Business Development department. He is responsible for development of corporate strategy and evaluation of M&A projects as well as supervision of macroeconomic research and analytics in the global steel & mining and related industries. He is also the company’s representative on committees of the World Steel Association. Prior to Metinvest Group, he coordinated operational activities of one of the oldest investment companies of Ukraine. Roman holds a Master's degree in Finance. His other education includes the Strategic Transition Programme at INSEAD (2014-2015). He is also a CFA charterholder and a regular member of CFA Institute (USA).
Somanath Tripathy is a seasoned professional with over 36 years of extensive experience in design, consultancy, project management, project procurement, and supply chain management within the Integrated Steel Plant and Mines industry. Currently holding the esteemed position of Executive Director of Materials Management at Rourkela Steel Plant, SAIL, one of India's leading steel producers, Mr. Tripathy plays a vital role in overseeing the procurement, warehousing, and sales departments. With a remarkable tenure of more than a decade in senior leadership roles, Mr. Tripathy has successfully led project commercial deptt in finalizing numerous high-value projects worth over INR 10,000 crore, led supply chain management department of integrated steel plant and mines in procurement & warehousing of various commodities to the tune of INR 6000 Crore and sales of around INR 4000 crore. As an alumnus of the renowned IIT Madras, where he earned his Bachelor of Technology degree, his engineering acumen is unparalleled. Furthermore, Mr. Tripathy is a certified International Mediator and Arbitrator, equipped with the skills to navigate complex disputes, and he is also a registered non-Executive Director, exemplifying his commitment to corporate governance.
Ulrich Leuchtmann heads the Foreign Exchange Research department at Commerzbank. He joined Commerzbank in 2008 as EM FX analyst, becoming head of FX Research later in 2008. Prior to Commerzbank, Ulrich was with Invesco Asset Management, as portfolio manager for global bond mandates and as head of FX Management. Before his career in the financial industry, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Econometrics and Statistics at the University of Bielefeld, Germany, and as managing director of the German Statistical Society. He holds a Master’s degree in economics.
Yuan Wenjiong is Chairman of Dao Fortune Co., Ltd. As a proficient economist, he is deeply involved in steel trading over last 25 years. He and his team have been leading China's steel exports since 2004, covering most of the markets in Asia, Central and South America and the Middle East.
