Enrico Paglia

Banchero Costa / Research Manager

After completing a degree in maritime economics at the University of Genoa, Enrico gained brief and valuable experience in the shipping and energy sectors while working in Perth, Western Australia, for a renowned offshore oil production project. In 2005, he joined leading shipbroking house Banchero Costa group at its Genoa office, at first as a sales and purchase broker and after as an analyst in the research and studies department. In 2011, he was based at Banchero Costa's London office where was responsible for the European research desk. Then he came back to the company’s headquarters in Genoa where he follows mainly, but not exclusively, the dry bulk, tankers and container sectors. Enrico regularly takes part in shipping conferences around Europe, the Middle East, the Far East and Africa, both as a presenter and panelist alike.

Professor Emre Alkin

- / Economist

Professor Emre Alkin received his B.A. from the economics faculty of Istanbul University in 1991, while in the same year the faculty accepted him as a research assistant. In 1997, he received the title of associate professor in economic theory when he was doing his military service in 1997 as a project officer in F-16 tactical aircraft systems. Professor Alkin has written books about risk management and financial institutions and has worked on management boards and as consultant for several investment companies. He became a professor in 2002. He has participated in the business development of Cukurova Holding, Anadolu Industry Holding, Dogan Holding and Altınbaş Holding, in various sectors. He has also worked as a commentator on economic affairs for Turkish TV channels. In the years 2000-14, he served as secretary general of the Turkish Exporters Assembly, member of the National Tax Council, secretary general of the Federation of Captive Finance Companies, secretary general of the Turkish Football Federation, and member of UEFA’s marketing committee. Currently, he is a non-executive board member of Turkish football club Galatasaray. Prof. Alkin has held various positions in such diverse fields as GSM and telecommunications, international finance, payment systems, energy, and iron and steel. Furthermore, he gives classes in economics at Altınbaş University where he also serves as vice president.

Mihailo Vesovic

Director of sector for strategic analysis, services and internationalization / Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia

Mihailo Vesović, Director of the Division for Strategic Analyses, Services and Internationalization Mihailo Vesović was born on 3 May 1972, in Belgrade. He graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Belgrade, and earned a degree of Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. He was a Secretary of the CCIS Association of Metal and Electric Power Industry, after which he was appointed to the position of Assistant Minister in the Ministry of Economy and Privatization, and in the Ministry of Trade and Services. In 2008, he was elected CCIS Vice President, for two terms of office, where his main focus were international economic relations. In his multiannual work for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, he was also Director of the CCIS Centre for Innovations, and CCIS Deputy General Manager, and Advisor to CCIS President in charge of issues relating to digital transformation of the economy and cooperation between the science and economy. Today, he is Director of the Division for Strategic Analyses, Services and Internationalization. He participated in the creation of the first Cluster Development Support Programme; he organized participation of Serbian companies in a large number of international fairs; he headed numerous international trade missions; he was Deputy Co-chair of the Serbia – Russia Joint Committee; he was President of the National Oil Committee Assembly; he participated in the implementation of a large number of international projects of the EU and World Bank; and he was a Coordinator in the Best of Serbia Campaign. He is a member of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty Council. He is married and father of two children.
